Community of Practices


This website aims to provide a concrete backup for discussion and sharing of ideas and experiences to the Network of Foundations and Research Institutions for the promotion a culture of peace in Africa.

The Community of Practices is a participatory research action project on African humanism knowledge for peace and development in harmony with the balance of nature and in the context of eco-planetary humanism.  

The Community of Practices  is the result  of the UNESCO Africa Department, the Transdisciplinary UNESCO Chair on "Human Development and Culture of Peace" at the University of Florence and the Network of Foundations and Research Institutions for the promotion a culture of peace in Africa.

The project intends to develop and to implement the results of Luanda Forum and represent an operational tool to foster dialogue and exchange of experiences and reflections about Culture of Peace. Firstly, the participants are the Research Institutions and the UNESCO Chairs belonging to the Network.

The Community of Practices starts the research and reflection activities with the two projects proposed by the UNESCO Chair in Culture of Peace, University Félix Houphouët-Boigny (Abidjan, Ivory Coast).The outputs of this experimental phase will be presented during a Seminar about Culture of Peace in Africa promoted by UNESCO Chair in Culture of Peace of the University of Cocody.

 

Platform Community

The access to Web Research Community is reserved through login and it offers to researcher community a set of online management tools: forum, workshops, database.

The use of an online “Community of Practice” can represent a tool for sharing and promoting best practices in research in different disciplinary sector and their internationalization through multimedia tools and international events.
